Model Assessment Compassion Communication MMHT Patient Safety MOOC Tools Glossary Community

By further developing our new Model for intercultural education of nurses and health care professionals, the project address the lack of transcultural competence in European healthcare sector which is necessary and inevitable.

The topic of the project also fits with European and national policies of the VET systems:

  • contributes of removing obstacles related to the transnational mobility of nurses by providing them intercultural training;

  • encourages nursing students to participate in transnational mobility and in wokbased learning pathways;

  • promotes the using of assessment tools for enhancing the mutual recognition of nurses’ competences and qualifications accross Europe.

The project has a positive impact on local community, educational community and VET system:

  • encourages local and regional authorities, as well as initial and continuing education providers, to develop an internationalization culture and strategies, including cross-border mobility;

  • the staffs of the institutions participating in the project will have the possibility to increase their own communication skills, language skills and cultural competence.

The innovative model involves the transfer of knowledge and innovation along with the sharing of best practice between partner countries encourages participant institutions to adapt their formation to the needs of the labor market.

The project will have a clear contribution to VET systems and national practices of all partners involved in the project. The impact of the proposal on the national VET systems will be more significant both on training institutions and employers.

The tools which will be developed in this project can be exported to other countries and could be improved by further adaptation and development and therefore add value to the practices and systems of the countries.
