Project
  • Mapping local and international literature

  • The partners review of the local and international literature on the needs of migrant and refugee families with children regarding two different aspects:

    a) Parenting skills (health practices e.g. immunization)

    b) Factors that provide resilience, empower parents and children

The aim is to provide a current understanding on the needs of migrant and refugee families with children from a variety of perspectives in the form of easily accessible reports.

  • Curriculum development

  • Based on mapping of the literature, the partners create an innovative curriculum for nurses and other health professionals and volunteers, to enable them to provide support, knowledge and skills on parenting and child-family health care needs, under extreme and unique conditions.

  • Engagement activities for nurses and other health professionals and volunteers

  • Based on the curriculum and the training guide, in each country partners perform interactive training and/or workshop offered to nurses and other health professionals and volunteers working with migrant or refugee families as a piloting phase of the curriculum.

  • Development of bite-size learning unit

  • Bite-size learning units for parents which are made freely available to Khub to help migrant and refugee families in the improvement of parenting skills, health and social care of the children and to help health professionals and volunteers in increasing knowledge and improve training of the migrant and refugee parents.

  • Migrants/Refugees stories

  • The real life parenting stories of migrants and refugees will be registered on the Knowledge HUB http://www.ienerefugeehub/stories/ , which can be used as a paradigm for training health professionals and volunteers.

  • Dissemination

  • The Knowledge Hub http://www.ienerefugeehub/ will be updated and enriched to facilitate the exchange and flow of knowledge during the project life and after the project ends.

Also, to assure the project results dissemination and the sustainability of the project, partners organize different type of dissemination activities (workshops/trainings, national seminars, webinar or social media discussions) and create dissemination materials will such as newsletters, leaflets, press release translated in EN, EL, DE, IT, RO
