European Conference

London , Wednesday, the 27th July 2016

It is my great pleasure to announce that Middlesex University London, will host the one day conference ‘Promoting Culturally Competent and Compassionate Leadership for Nurses and Other Health Professionals’ on Wednesday, the 27th July 2016.

The conference will be free and marks the end of the IENE4 project (Intercultural Education for Nurses in Europe, and other health professionals).

I am also delighted to announce that Professor Laura Serrant, Head of Evidence and Strategy, Nursing Directorate, NHS England will be the keynote speaker.

If you are working in the areas of leadership in healthcare, cultural competence, compassion or other related areas, please consider sending us an abstract for a parallel session or a poster presentation. Those chosen to present their work will receive a contribution towards their travel costs of up to 200 Euros (if traveling from outside the UK) or up to 100 Euros for UK residents outside London.

Why not combine a holiday in London with attending the conference. But please hurry as we only have 100 places available.

Abstracts should be no longer than 500 words giving clear details of the aim of your presentation, your methodology/approach, the findings, its relevance to healthcare culturally competent and compassionate leadership and your conclusions.

Please e-mail your abstract to Alfonso Pezzella by 27th May 2016 as a word document or PDF.

If you wish to attend the conference irrespective of whether you submit an abstract or not by subscribing here.
