In IENE1, the partners did research on the nurses' transcultural education needs which allowed us to extract the knowledge, skills and key cultural competences valuable for each category of nurses and health care professionals for delivering a culturally competent health care. These competences were structured in the four stages described by the PTT model: cultural awareness, cultural knowledge, cultural sensitivity and cultural competence.

The IENE2 project will continue to develop the transcultural training needs analysis made in IENE1 from the perspective of teachers. One of the developments to the previous project is the Training of Trainers (ToT). The partners will create an intensive training methodology, modules and materials. Implemented and tested during the workshops, this TOT model will be used to prepare the teachers and trainers to implement the European PTT/IENE model by improving their competences of teaching cultural competences for various categories of nurses. This product will be added to the already created tools (online platform, informative guide and learning guide) which will facilitate the implementation of the PTT/IENE model. The main added value of IENE 2 project results from the implementation of PTT/IENE model which will be adapted to different cultural contexts, to different categories of nurses and health care professionals.
