Normalcy

The state of Normalcy in Social Science is defined by compliance of a system with its own values and norms formulated by the system itself or by someone external. Although normalcy is defined relatively to the norms of the one who evaluates it, it was still not sufficiently discriminating as for instance in some cases the conformance with the norms might be pathological.
So the concept of normalcy it is more used in the sense of normal or satisfactory functioning. Both in sociology or psychiatry the normalcy is seen as: ability to deal with problems through realistic attitude toward yourself and the others and the ability to continuously develop and reinvent.
