Key Outputs

  • Output no. 1: Mapping of local and international literature

    Mapping of local, European and international literature on the needs of migrant and refugee families with children regarding two main aspects:

    a) Parenting skills

    b) Factors that provide resilience, empower parents and children

    The aim is to provide a summarised collection of current understanding on the needs of migrant and refugee families with children from a variety of perspectives in the form of easily accessible reports.

    The review forms the basis upon which the other activities and outputs of this project are build on such as, the curriculum, the guiding tool for engagement activities and the bite-size learning units.

  • Output no. 2: Curriculum development

    The aim of this output is to provide an innovative curriculum for nurses and other health professionals and volunteers, to enable them to provide support, knowledge and skills on parenting and child-family health care needs, under extreme and unique conditions. This is based on mapping of the literature (O1) as well as evidence from the previous IENE projects.

  • Output no. 3: Engagement activities for nurses and other health professionals and volunteers (training)

    The aim of this output is to perform interactive training and/or workshop offered to nurses and other health professionals and volunteers working with migrant or refugee families as a piloting phase of the curriculum. The training is based on the curriculum and the training guide, including good practices.

  • Output no. 4: Development of bite-size learning units

    The aim of this output is to develop of bite-size learning units for parents which will be made freely available to Khub. This aims to : a) help migrant and refugee families in the improvement of parenting skills, health and social care of the children and b) help health professionals and volunteers in increasing knowledge and improve training of the migrant and refugee parents

  • Output no. 5: Khub introduction of stories

    The aim of this output is to be used as a paradigm for training health professionals and volunteers through real life parenting stories.

    The parent migrants/refugees stories are registered at ienerefugeehub/stories translated in English, Greek, German, Italian and Romanian
