Welcome to the IENE projects!

This multilingual website addresses nurses and healthcare professionals working with patients from different cultures and languages and aims to improve the quality of their vocational education and training in Europe.

During the IENE 1 to IENE 11 projects, 27 partners from 14 European countries developed a Model for Intercultural education of nurses and healthcare professionals based on the Papadopoulos, Tilki and Taylor Model (PTT/IENE MODEL)

The tools for healthcare leaders in culturally competent and compassionate care developed under the IENE4 project will be piloted during March 2016.

Each unit will be piloted with 10-15 people taking into consideration their profiles: senior health leaders for Unit 1 and front-line health leaders for Unit 2.

DIRECTED LEARNING

Before the face-to-face training, the participants should study the recommended sources of information and answer some questions about the compassion and its underpinning values, to understand the importance of leaders as models for promoting compassionate and cultural competent environment in care.

They will note their findings in Pre - class self-directed learning sheet.
